Who, in their right mind, may I ask goes to Burbank for pizza? I do. You may disagree and think that I'm not in my right mind but really, truly, I promise I am. Ever since I was young, I used
to watch Rowan & Martin's Laugh In. When Dan and Dick mentioned "beautiful downtown Burbank" I became very curious about the hype. I really have found some interesting places here and Dino's is surely one of them! Service is really friendly when
you order up at the register. Seat yourself at one of the red-checkered cloth-covered tables and your food will be delivered within minutes. Pizzas are hand tossed, raised dough, and reasonably priced. We started with a small 10" ($7.99), extra cheese ($2.25), pepperoni
($1.60) and black olive ($1.60). To that we added another 10" pie with anchovies ($1.60), fresh garlic ($1.60), and pepperoni ($1.60). Pies were served piping hot, huge, crisp, and some of the best pie we've had! We also had the Caesar Salad ($4.99) with romaine,
fresh croutons, parmigiano reggiano, and creamy Caesar dressing. The small is enough to share. Baked Meatballs and Cheese ($7.89) is also one of my favorite dishes! Meatballs, marinara, mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan are combined to make
this dish a meat lover's delight. Dough Dippers ($4.29) were an unnecessary add-on, but tasty just the same. Dough twists are baked with garlic and olive oil then served with marinara and ranch dressing. Needless to say, we have a lot of leftovers! Dino's
is a favorite with the studio crowd and Burbank locals alike. It gets mobbed here so come early or late, but do come! Dino's Pizza 3520 Burbank Blvd. @ Hollywood Way Burbank (818) 841-3311. Open everyday from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.
