This is farm to table cooking at its best! Malibu Farm, (and there really is a farm located in Point Dume) is Swedish born Helen Henderson's place where she raises goats, chicken, pigs,
fruit, and vegetables. The Malibu Pier Cafe began as a pop-up, but now is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 3pm for breakfast and lunch. Dinner hours will commence by the end of the month. Enjoy the fantastic food while you sit on the beautiful patio overlooking
the Pacific Ocean. Start your morning off with a cup of local organic drip coffee ($3) -it's amazing with local half and half. For a treat try the Caramello Latte ($6). The flavor is rich and smooth. Arnold Palmers ($5) are served with their own carafes so
your glass will always be full! The Fried Egg Sandwich ($14) is one of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever enjoyed. Local bacon, arugula, aioli, Havarti cheese, and a crispy fried egg are grilled between sourdough bread. The side arugula salad and fingerling
potatoes are simple yet delicious. Multigrain pancakes ($12) are topped with crispy bacon bits and served with fresh maple syrup. I am not actually a pancake fan, but these are out of this world. For lunch try the Bacon & Heirloom Tomato Sandwich
($12), the Skirt Steak Sandwich ($20), or the Salmon Sandwich ($18) with olive tapenade. In addition to Malibu Farm, Larry Thorne Family Farm, Maggie's Farm, and 1 Gun Ranch provide produce. Sit back and enjoy the beach. Malibu Farm makes any day a "beach"
day. Malibu Farm 23000 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu. (310) 456-1112.
