Are you ready to dig in to some serious backyard burgers? Short Order, open since 2011 in the Farmer's Market, fits all of your burger-centric needs. Chef Christian Paige cooks up
some Nancy Silverton- (Osteria Mozza, La Brea Bakery, Campanile) inspired burgers that are truly delicious. My two favorites are the Nancy's Backyard Burger ($14) a dry aged beef blend, applewood bacon, avocado, tomatoes, red onion, icebreg lettuce, gruyere
cheese, and spicy mayo) and the Ida's Old School Burger ($12) grass-fed beef, pickles, tomato, grilled onions, icebreg, cheddar, and secret sauce. All burgers are at least 30% fat, which is what gives them the juicy flavor. Mac and Cheese
($7) is elbow noodles aged cheddar, romano, and bechamel. We like to add bacon ($2), but then again, when don't we? For something different, try the Crispy Pickle Chips ($6). The homemade ranch dressing is to die for! Old School Fries ($5) are cooked
three times and just as you would expect, and are salty and crisp! Oh, did I mention the shakes and the custard? Custard is made in-house with No Cal's Strauss Family Creamery products so if you have room, try the best frozen custard on the west coast! If you happen to be at Farmer's Market on a Wednesday night stop in; it's Dante's Fried Chicken Night, and you don't want to miss that! Short Order LA, 6333 W. 3rd Street Stall 110 Los Angeles.
